Hey there, was deciding on getting a good spare headphone. My main headphone (the infamous Oppo PM-3 which will be arriving soon!) is a closed back headphone that is very isolated in terms of sound and good on the go.
I want a spare that I can keep at home, and use when the Oppos may be potentially broken.
So most likely I am thinking about a good open back, over ear headphone at around $200-250 max. Want a good average headphone with good treble, and not really looking for too much bass. Something that has a good mid-range as well. I listen to every and any genre really, and enjoy them. From electronic to classical to even some avant-garde stuff. So music genre isn't that big of an issue for me.
I have been interested in the Phillips X2 Fidellio since its selling at $250 right now but want to get more opinions on it. Also looking towards the AKG 702 and the AKG 612s.
Hope for some good recommendations.
