For my new pair of cans I would like to get something a little more base heavy as my current ones are neutral. I am aware that closed back generally have more of a bass response than open back. As of now I am looking at beyer990's which has a significantly higher bass response than my current pair. I was wondering how much exactly them being open back would effect them though. For instance say two different pair of cans had identical fr graphs but one was open back and the other closed. Would the closed back seem like it had more bass or does the fr graph tell it how it is? Thanks.

Closed backs normally have more bass considering the pressure that can build up inside the cans.
