Hello. I got 2 nice vu meters, the needletype. I want to make them work. How do I procced?

You tap the signal going into your amp and build a small cmoy style amplifier with a variable gain control. So the signal splits into 2 separate amps. THe main amp, and the VU metre amp. Then listen to music and adjust the level to taste.

It will be used in a studio, with seperate outputs, only for the meters, so in other words, I just build a cmoy or something to feed the meters with?

Don't forget the precision rectifier part of the opamp circuit AND to have a high enough impedance going to the meter so it does load down the output and suck actual power from the audio signal .
Everything connected to the amp output has an effect and the trick is to minimize the bad and reinforce the good.
