Hi Guy’s
I thought I’d share some thoughts on the newly established Opal Audio AM7.
I’m not a professional or really someone who writes reviews regular so please bear that in mind when reading. I will try and add some pictures of the headphones plus any accessories they came with.
That said please feel free to ask questions and I’ll do my best to answer them.
The AM7 is an open-back headphone with a high sensitivity 40mm dynamic driver.
Tech specs
Frequency range: 16 - 24,000 Hz
Impedance: 32 Ω
Sensitivity: 113dBSPL
Weight: 390g ± 5g
Accessories
Bag
Sliver braided cable (good quality)
Two sets of pads both Dekoni (velour and sheepskin)
Build
Love the thick leather headband and the comfort strap is a nice addition.
Lovely wooden cups
Easy to adjust.
Sound
First off they are very easy to drive I have them paired with a Matrix Element M and it drives them effortlessly
It is designed to have an expansive sound-stage, instrument separation, and clarity
comparisons have been made against Sennheiser HD800, Sennheiser HD650, ZMF Verite, and Audio-Technica AD900x.
People have praised them on the upper-mids and treble as being 'crisp' and not harsh. Bass response is good not too heavy and overpowering.
In my option I was very happy with the sound crisps highs good treble and punchy bass.
They retail for around £600 uk and in my option they’re worth every penny
