Which would you choose to put in your amplifier? This is for a Senn HD650, I have a different amp for my grados.

AD823 sounds nice but needs to be buffered as it puts out very low power. It will not drive those headphones well. However, I prefer the sound of the 2227 in all cases buffered or not.

you are mistaken in your assumption that the ad823 is low output, at +/- 15 V supplies the AD823 specs +80/-60 mA short circuit current, well ahead of the opa227 +/-45 mA spec
you may be confused by the # for sub 5 V single supply operation - give the ad823 enough volts for 300 Ohm cans and it will beat the opa2227 with more output current and swing closer to the supply V as well
