Anyone else using this OP amp?
WOW!! Its a little monster, fast and detailed. Very rich sounding chip. Instruments really separate themlseves, even with my canalphones. With my canalphones theres a sense of depth in my head. Transformed my little cmoy.

Ah yes, the 2107, I commented on this chip back in 2003. Very nice with the Chiarra

The OPA2107 and 2111 need a voltage supply of at least 10Volts according to the datasheet. The OPA2132 can operate as low as 2.5Volts which is why it's great for battery use (ie. splitting a 9V batt to get +-4.5volts). Therefore, I think the OPA2107 wouldn't really work in a portable battery supplied environment unless you had two or three 9V batts in series.

My cmoy is running @ 18V, govibe is 9V.

How are these chips compared to the 627/637 type or the LT series such as the LT1360/1361? One other...the LM6172

Curious what people think of these ops I have mentioned compared to what you are using.

Regards!

2107 sounds similar to the 627 to me except maybe with a bit more energy or something of that sort.

Yes, certainly, but make sure you give the OPA 2111 at least 10V (preferably >15V <18V) the spec sheet is here. Well worth trying if you can get a sample but I'd try before you buy as these puppies are very expensive. They were magical in the Chiarra amp so may well be magical in other amps, worth a try
