I've been using an HT Omega Claro Halo sound card along with the Ultransone HFI-580's for a couple months now and I'm loving the sound quality they produce. But I'd like to try swapping out the op-amps of the Claro Halo to see what kind of improvements it could bring. Especially considering HT Omega themselves even recommend upgrading the stock op-amps (JRC 4850).

I know little to nothing about op-amps though and was hoping I could get some advice as to which ones I should try. I listen primarily to rock, metal and alternative music. I also do a large amount of gaming as well, but the music I listen to takes priority in terms of sound quality.

Secondly, where's a reputable online dealer I could order from?

Thanks for any help.

Not sure about which is a good opamp replacement for JRC4850, but you can also try newark.com (or farnell.com if out side of U.S.), rs-components.com and mouser.com.
