Oneplus 5T?

i dont know about DAC quality but for Amp power sadly according to phonearena, the headphone output power on the 5T is only (0.47 Vrms) compared to (0.96 Vrms) on the original oneplus 5, (which means that you need a really efficient pair of headphones in order to enjoy that limited volume).

scroll down to the Audio output section.

keep in mind that a HIFI smartphone like the LG V20 can output (1.78 Vrms) on high impedance device mode, (0.99 Vrms) on external audio device mode & (0.44 Vrms) on normal audio device mode respectively.

OnePlus 5 output volume is decent but the quality is horrible. Similar to what ac97 boards use to churn out.

I just bought the phone and I am Happy to report that phone arena is lying! This phone is almost as loud and powerful as my lg v20 was! It is amazing for audiophile especially if combined with the lz a4!

well congratulations on the new phone, however keep in mind that the LG V20 will output (0.44 Vrms) on the normal audio device mode which is slightly lower than the 5Ts (0.47 Vrms), but that phone has different modes my friend (the only problem is that the gain switch is controlled automatically depending on the impedance of the headphone that you plug in) 50 ohms and higher will trigger a more powerful Amp.
so yes, when using an efficient pair of headphones the oneplus 5T is slightly louder than the V20, however if you plug in a pair power hungry headphone on both devices thats where you're going to hear the difference loud & clear because high impedance device mode is going to be activated, thus giving you much more volume (reaching 1.78 Vrms).
