Last week, our Company's network was "apparently" hacked and the news has indicated that 90,000 RSA tokens have to get replaced as a result of this "issue":

Today, the news breaks that Al-Queda had a plan to take a hit on our CEO's life because of the drone bombings in the Middle East:

Finally, I turned in my resignation today as I had been looking to move into another industry.  The managers don't seem too concerned about the vacancy that I'll leave.  I guess people have money to burn - on average, it runs about $139,000 to replace an employee with the gap in coverage, retraining time, etc. - and, my managers don't seem to concerned about the vacancy.  In two weeks, it will feel so good to move on.

If you don't mind me asking, was it the hit on your CEO that made you want to move?

No.  I had actually been looking into local government since last November.  It took about 7 months to get a position re-written so it would work with my skills so they could bring me on board.  Add in the interview time, selection time, background check time, etc. - and that leaves us with a period of about 2 weeks ago when I received my first offer.

I think I'm bad at picking companies.  My first corporation that I worked for and spent 17 years with, was an oil company.  It, too, was actually bombed when located in N.Y.  However, at the current moment, oil companies don't seem like as big of targets as defense contractors do.
