Looking at a couple of options and portability isn't a concern.
Audinst HUD MX1
Yulong U100
HRT MS2 and $100 amp
SQ is the priority and i don't any hard to drive headphones. Would prefer a darker sound to brighter but at this price it may be something to put up with if most other facets of one of the options is superior.
Hopefully all are an improvement on the laptop sound. Its unbearable, muddy, compressed with no staging to speak of. DAC in Galaxy S2 is an improvement and even that is considered poor. Please help.
