If you don't need closed back, you can try the iBasso SR-1 - about as dark as Atticus and 99. Imho it has better resolution than the 99 and (Atticus when paired with a non optimal amp), not sure if it is still available

I will keep these in mind for later but now I want a closed back since (serious) sound leakage can be an issue.

I have expensive headphones and regardless the 99s are incredible

That's awesome I also tried quite a lot more expensive headphones in the CanJam but the 99s stuck in my mind.

Then I will have a better look on them since I never heard of them. They don't seem very easily available but I guess that this will not be a problem since I will be able to find someone here selling them I guess. Thanks!
