I would like to spend $250 or less on a pair of on ear headphones, could you recommend me something?
 
They have to be:
Comfortable
Closed back design (don't want lots of leakage... these will be use for the gym and on planes)
Sound signature: For the most part I enjoy a very natural sound with slightly excited highs and lows that can kick a little extra.
 
These are going to be used with just an iPod or my macbook on occasion.

Take a look at the Beyerdynamic T51p. Most comfortable on-ear I know, closed back. rather neutral with a bit elevated upper bass. Very engaging sound and perfect to use with a phone/iPad/Macbook.
