Think you'll like Bill Evans better

Thanks will try him. Learning some Tatum transcriptions. That man was a beast...

To jump into Evans at the deep end there is nothing better than this :

Meant to post this some time ago, but never got around to it: Clint Eastwood's film biography of Charlie Parker - both tragic, funny, and acutely musical at the same time. Well-worth watching if you've never seen it. Watched it recently after my summer jazz fest outings. Forest Whitaker, one of the few actors that make my consummate actors list did an incredible job in it.

Nice post, Terja!  It's been a few years since I've watched it, but it's one of my favorites.  I think you're on point with Whitaker, too.  I think he's one of a very few who could portray Parker so convincingly.

I think I've shared this before, but it's worth sharing again.

Anyway, going to go hear some Finnish jazz musicians this Saturday: Jori Huhtala 5, Iiro Rantala & Jussi Lampela Notet, and The Northern Governors.

Hello there,

Usually i like slow jazz albums but know when it's fricking warm inside and i wanna listen to jazz albums like  Saxophone Colossus(Sonny Rollins) or ‎Julie Is Her Name(Julie London) are just too calm/slow and i can't enjoy them. So i am looking for  the lack of a better word, jazz albums with "summer spirit". Something that is fresh and "quick"

Hopefully my post makes at least little bit of sense. And sorry for my engrish :D
