id go to staples and just dream about it. back then 6 gb was a lot and crative labs was king of digital audio.hect if i recall they even made sound blaster sound card . may buy one just to fufill my dream

Yeah me too. We want to look back at that and other players like the Rio Riot as being these monstrosities that people would have never wanted to carry but these didn't compete with little pocket players, these were pitted against portable CD players and had a very similar size. The biggest issue with these was cost and the relative fragility of portable HDDs at the time. The general public couldn't fathom paying $500 for a portable player (even $250 would have been a lot) until Apple came out with the iPod a year later and legitimized the DAP market.

i had a creative labs vision m . man o man did i baby that thing even altered the way i walked. i recal buying a nice case for it that scratched my player when i put it on lol i was so pissed and sad
