Hi all,i am new here from Hong Kong.Above is my PPA1.1 and it would be a "house amp"instead of a portable amp.I still cannot get any ideal for the C1 and C6.I would like to use Black Gate STD for the C1 and Black Gate NX for the C6,yet,it seems so expensive.
Besides,i am now looking for a better power supply circuit for the ppa and a local dealer provdes me a finished one but really expensive so i chose to DIY

.Oh!Sorry!Above pictures are my PPA and some parts. For the opamp,i use OPA128SM for L and R channel and 128JM for ground channel and they are both second-hand from the old machine and i bought it from acutions. For the buffer,i first bought buf03AJ,ie the oldest model of buf634and buf03->buf04->buf634.I am told that the buf03Aj is the best buffer but it requires a really powerful supply and with over 200C working temperature. However,it can't be usng in ppa but it is worth.

Now,i get the metal cap HA3-5002-5 and some DIYers claim that it is much smoother and dynamic than the buf634p and it has very great input but very low output impedence.
Please feel free to leave comments. It would be a good happening for me to enjoy it and share it here.

Hi KWS,

Welcome to Head Fi. Be sure to use the Search feature here on the DIY forum. You might find some good information on your questions about C1 and C6.

For now, work with the buffers you can get your hands on and get your amp up and running. Once you get the bugs worked out, you can tweak it!

Have fun!

heh.... yep, one from many moons ago. that's a gen 1 or gen 2 (impossible to tell from that pic)... circa 2001 or 2002. actually, it's pretty incredible to think that the age of digital music players is so young. i remember my first Rio 600, which preceded the ipod by some time... that thing was quite the monster, all 32mb of it.

Hi all,sorry for late reply.
This "MP3 player"is a 1st gen 5 gb iPod and it is quite rare in the market, sounds good.Actually,i was so lucky to bid such one with full package but still works great.
For the PPA amp,i am still constructing it....but it seems that the OPAMP opa128SM sounds supreb in my portable amp CHA47.
