Hi there,
Hope this is the right place to ask such a question, as said in title.
Since my Marantz pre-amp is failing on me, I'm on the lookout for a new pre-amp, later on perhaps a speaker amp as well.
My installation is second hand and, apart from the P6 speakers, quite budget oriented.
No digital inputs so I use a Modi to connect my only output device: a PC.
I know back in the 90's B&W was paired with Rotel a lot, but this is 25-30 years ago...
I'm quite a fan of Schiit's price/performance and looking into the Syn or Saga+.
Both offer a lot over what I currently have ( old budget Mazantz A/V surround pre-amp/CD player ).
I currently use a modest Modi as a DAC, but I like the idea of the Syn having remote control and a DAC built in.
With the Saga+ I'll probably use the Modi for a while and then upgrade to a Modius and justify that later ^^.
And ofcourse, After a while, the Gjallarhorn will smile at me ...and so on.
What says you, bright minds of the internet?
