I'm getting a Arcam cd72, I can get a used one for at pretty good price, but it was bought 2001. Would the newer 2003-players have better DAC's or some how just generally be better in some way?

This is some thing I feel that I have to get clear before I decide on going for the used one.

I think the Arcams are upgradable as they get better aren't they? If they are you will have no problem advancing as they do. Or at least upgrading to the next higher model than the one you have with out getting a new machine. Just something you might want to check out. I think there older models were able to do this but not sure on the CD72, 82, 92 series
One other thing, Players that sound really good a few years ago still sound good today. The only difference being is that you MIGHT be able to get as good of sound cheaper than what it cost then.
