An ISA slot is old. No modern mobo will have that. Don't know about the driver support either. This is an old pro card and I'm not sure how it'll sound. Might as well just try if you have an old system around.
CardD Plus sounds in my opinion very similar to Creative SoundBlaster AWE64 and MediaVision Proaudio Spectrum. Gravis Ultrasound MAX stomped it in terms of CPU usage and musical quality. The difference I noticed most between the CardD and AWE64/PAS was treble that isn't rolled off as soon. Most of those older cards though didn't have very low noise floors, you'll definately hear hiss during silent passages. I kind of wish I kept all of my old sound cards, so I could test them all with RMAA. If you have any overclocker friends, ask around about Celeron 300A's, surely one of them has a BH6 laying around. Abit BH6 had 2 ISA slots on it.
