I have an old Samsung BOTL phone (locked to T Mobile so I can't use the WIFI for programs). Is there a specific program for audio to hack these / install software that does not need a phone signal to work

What do people use for sources to a DAC (I have coax, optical and usb) off the shelf or hacked?

I have no clue what phone that is... But I'm going to assume it's one of Samsung's Android based devices. If you want to be able to use a DAC with it, first you have to check if it supports OTG. Anything above 4.0 should have OTG.

I haven't seen a phone in years that couldn't run without a sim, let alone a smartphone that couldn't run without a sim. No clue how to help you out there.
