I have an old Kenwood KA-8006 amp in my basement getting minimal use at present. Does anybody know anything about this amp, particularly its headphone output? I am curious if it might do a better job than my output on my Onkyo receiver TX-SV 535. I will of course listen to it, but am curious if anybody has any more background on the amp and its phone capabilities.

I think they will sound great from the Kenwood. This discussion has come up at AudioKarma in the past and someone said something about the older gear's headphone jack is powered off the output transformer or something like that so they can handle any phones without a problem. I use my Pioneer 1250 to run my 701s and they sound awesome.
