Hi,

I got an old headphone. Gardo SR-60 which I got it 5~6 years again.
It doesn't look old, and doesn't sound very better or worst. Does
it make sense for me to replace it ? does headphone age ?

please advise.

No need to replace it if it still sounds good. Most headphones actually get better with "age" as the drivers break-in (also called "burn-in"). The only problem you might have is with the pads breaking down and flaking, but those are easily replaced.

It's a keeper as long as it is not physically damaged. I had a pair of Sony V6 for almost 18 years until my wife ran over with her car. It sounded nearly just as good as the day I got it before the accident. I would check for the sign of oxidation on the plug and give it a good cleaning if it needs one.

SR-60 is regarded as a very good phone here at Head-fi and you should enjoy your cans
