Those of you who have been at this a while probably don't care but I had never seen a lot of these headphones for sale:

I think most of them are discontinued. I don't know what's wrong with me but I really like the styling of those old beyers... anybody know how the DT150 sounds? Or the senn HD200?

the DT250 is well liked here by many people.
A very good friend here on head-fi really likes the DT150 but he has it extensively modded. He also enjoyed the signature exhibited by the DT770-600.

As for the other models, I have seen and heard the DT48 from Beyer and it is relatively pleasing with humongously badass volumes even out of crappy portable players. Slightly greater emphasis on bass.

The prices of some Beyers are rather low - DT250's, DT770's. Am I right?

Interesting... I think they're still making the Dt250... I really want to hear the original 880's... but anyway I suspect the company is out of business or doesn't update their site. I would certainly get somebody on the phone before handing over any $$$.
