i just went to the pawn shop and picked up a Teac pd-155 for 50 bucks. Its some kind of old cd player.

Anyways when i plugged it into my firewire 410's line inputs, 1/2, via rca's, and press play the little bars in the control panal that go up and down with the music started going to the max and the tops of the bars go red, also the clipping leds on the 410 go crazy, i've never seen them on before! i've tried adjusting a few things in the control panal but it still does it when i press play and it's scary so i only leave it on for a couple of seconds while i fiddle with the 410 control panal. i havent even turned the volume up yet so i havent heard the clipping through my headphones/monitors.

Is there something i can do to stop this? or do i have to buy something else too?

Thanks

I say keep messing with it. You could try pluging in cheap speakers or something because I assume that your indicators are right but maybe you should actually try it.
