Greetings. I'm new, and while I've read a lot of posts here and yes, I did use the search, I can't seem to find the answer to my question(s), as I'm looking for something somewhat specific.

Here's what I have: iPhone 7 + Apple dongle, Audio Technica ATH-M40x.

The sound through the dongle is good, but it doesn't feel like the same quality as what I got from my now-replaced iPhone 6. So I want something with better sound, simultaneous charging, and I don't want a lot of added bulk; also, I'd prefer to keep the price down.

Here are the options I've found so far that seem to be both good quality and not expensive or bulky:
Advanced Accessport
https://www.adv-sound.com/collections/all-collection/products/accessport
Scosche StrikeLine Adapter
http://www.scosche.com/iphone-7-headphone-adapter

So here's what I'm trying to find out:
1) Are there any better options that are also <$100, good quality, and not bulky? I can't seem to find much else that isn't super cheap/frail-looking, or doesn't need even more dongles for connectivity.
2) If not, between the two listed above, is the Accessport worth the extra $20?

Thanks for your help!

Frankly, I can't tell. All I can tell you is that I don't believe the Advanced DAC's SNR is correct. 122SNR? I am willing to bet that it's not true. The DAC chip they used are probably speced at 122, but it's not fair to say that a product as 122SNR because the chip it uses has a spec of 122SNR. Anyhow, I cannot tell you much about either of the products from their website. Clearly, both weren't meant for audiophile use.
