The best jog dial ever was the Sharp MS-722. It's 2.25" in diameter, so it was actually useable

.. so the jog dial isn't the silver one on the front. It's the "menu/enter" one on the side, like the R900. While the R900 jog springs back into place, the R909 jog goes a full 360 degrees.

I kinda willed myself into thinking it's like the R30 jog dial !

Anyhow, it's still supposedly speed-sensitive. The MS722 jog dial is quite nice.

Reminds me to start making sketches again... I had a feasible idea for a 0.35" thick portable.
