FIIO x3ii (black)
MOJO
Crystal coax
 
i was wondering... is this the new colour of the black x3ii? it doesnt look like black to me but a gunmetal gray... toned down a bit.
to FIIO, could you confirm please? how do i know if its a black?

Seems thats the Titanium Color,
 
actually you can check what is the color model on the box (front bottom) there are 3 checkboxes indicating the color.. there should be one box checked, stating your color. (this applies to new batch box, which have 3 color options)

Jep. It's the titanium/ gunmetal grey.
Mine is like that too.

 said, the stable firmware for the X3II is FW1.6, and the beta one is FW1.45beta.
The new official firmware will be available by the end of this month if everything goes well. :)

Do you know where the nowhere to find FW1.5 stands ? Closer to 1.45 or 1.6 ?

AFAIK, latest batch have this color option tick (gold, titanium, black) on the front box..
like mine.. just bought it last week.. Gold.. yeah..

I don't have 1.5, but if it has the new USB driver and does not have USB OTG then it is probably closer to 1.6.

If it has replay gain (and I don't think it does) and the features or lack there of I mentioned above then it is closer to 1.45 beta.

Is the seriously broken search going to be fixed? It searches by filename and most of us have the tracks named "track number - track title" and the way search works, there's no way to search by track. It needs to search by tag. And the way search works you type in one letter or number and you get all the results with tracks that start with that letter or number. If you could search by words within the track tag or name, it would work much better.

in the category browsing (artist/album/etc..) why the next/prev button cannot be used to select ?
 
in all other pages (main menu, setting, file sellect, etc.) , they can work no problem .. only in music category page..
the purpose is those button supposed to as scroll whell alternative, if scroll broken, still can use button to navigate..

i emailed FIIO philippines, informed egghead (store) about it and informed FIIO international about my issue.
i hope they will replaced mine with the BLACK color i wanted.
i waited so long for that black color. i hold onto my purchase because i knew the black color will be available. :(
egghead people confirmed that what they gave me is black, and i just showed proof now that what they gave me is an old titanium color.

I really like the Large Font version of the beta firmware.. but i dont like the topbar font being too big.. ruins the placement...
 
so i made the edit for this,
- Using 1.45Beta
- Top Bar is Normal Size Fonts, same as default firmware size
- The Rest is Large Font.
- Make the English menu better (to me :D), and fixed the uppercase, e.g. Play mode -> Play Mode, also make changes some menu text, Play Setting -> Option , System Setting -> Setting, and many text editted. (english only)
