Yeah. For sure its the best "truly" portable (one box) solution I've ever heard. I'm using a balanced UE cable as well which gives it even more authority. Some real synergy going on with this pairing.

:O August 9th might be the beginning of my backpacking trip... I probably won't be able to make it 

 shame. But I will be in the Sierra Nevadas without good headphones and good food and all the other pleasures of life backpacking treacherous high altitudes

Ended up finally getting the Ath-M50's this weekend ! Not the best, but the best ive had ! Ill bring them since they seem to be so popular if anyone would like to try them on diff setups or what not.

Amazingly, over the years I don't think I've ever heard the M50's.

I like them alot so far... maybe 5 hours in...  I need a better source.. Or im thinking of a amp to boost the volume as im pretty much at Max volume 
 
I will bring them so you can try these budget cans out ! Im curious how they will sound out of a good source and high end amp .. Cant wait til the meet!
