Is this an Ipod killer? 20 gb. Supposed ability to navigate by voice. Built in FM radio. Unclear from description but seems to allow playlists on the fly. Doesn't seem to have a line out. USB 2.0.

Not likely an iPod killer if you read the product manual, available on the edig site. It's as big as the Nomad Zen (which also has FM radio in the remote), and has a big problem : IT DOESN'T SUPPORT ID3 TAG information. I mean, that's been standard across MP3 players for the last few years. That's how each song stores Artist, Title, Album, track num, composer, genre, etc... The edig player works off Filenames alone. To sort them, you have to create directories and subdirectories to store your MP3s in on the player. In comparison the Ipod and Zen create song indexes automatically based off the ID3 tags, and you can search by Genre, Composer, Album, etc... Also for the "VoiceNav" to work you have rename your files to "song title.mp3" and guide it the right directory first...
