I just realized today that my headphone jack out of my dell computer actually sounds more realistic with a better all around sound than my odac. I know it's personal preference, but with all the raving about the ODAC I was a bit surprised. My goal is to find a DAC or USB to spdif to DAC combo that will make the music sound more natural and full while still being detailed. I think I read somewhere that the odac is picky about the usb power supply it is attached to, so maybe I could try that as well. I'm looking to spend around 500 or maybe a little more. Contenders right away would be the Concero and zdac, but i'm not sure if they will be what i'm looking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm also looking to upgrade from the ODAC to drive my S.E.X amp. Bottlehead should be releasing their own DAC early next year...

Oh, I'm sorry. I meant it sounds too thin and not full. Harsh at times. Bass and mids feel like they are lacking.
