I listen all of genres but sometimes Trance dominates the others.

I'd stay away from the PL50s for trance. My budget trance fave is the Meelec Ai-M6, but the Nuforces will do quite well to. Haven't heard those Jays (but the J-Jays were a bit disappointing) or the Cresyns.

I tried the S-jays. They definitely have bass, so it may be suitable for trance. However, the mids and highs aren't as articulate as other earphones of the same price range. Also with their caterpillar shape, I had problems getting a good fit in wearing over-ear fashion.

NE-6s have good bass but muffled vocals.

Pretty much sums the PL50 nicely for it's price range. Not to mention, it's very smooth sounding.

I would say nuforce for trance the vocals as said are a bit muffled but the bass is pretty good for the price.
