Currently I have a little $50 cmoy from misterx. Sadly, I'm not very wealthy so I'm wondering if there is anything that would be a decent upgrade under $150? Would a home pimeta be a good choice? Or is it recommended I wait for a lot longer and get a more expensive one (note: this would be a year +).

Any suggestions would be great. Currently my source is a X-fi Platinum.

I think a Pimeta would be a nice choice. Careful with the opamps, though. I think some of the TI opamps will drag the DT 770's bass through the mud. I would probably recommend the AD 8620/10.
