Just auditioned Campfire Audio's Vega which sports 8.5mm non-crystalline diamond dynamic driver. They proclaim that their in-house developed driver (designed in Portland, manufactured in Taiwan I believe) has the highest sound propagation velocity of any IEM driver.
I was switching between the Vega and the Utopia and I couldn't really decide which one I preferred more.
It is quite shocking how fast TOTL IEM's sound quality is approaching TOTL headphones territory - barring inherent soundstage limitation.
