Did you actually say the S4's are clear? I remember them being veiled - but I'm more of an Ety/K701 guy so that could be why. I've returned numerous iems to best buy over the years and never had a problem, although once I had an uninformed employee tell me they were a "health hazard" and couldn't be returned (which was BS, and nothing but ignorance on their part).
Anyway, around that price range and in stock at Best Buy I would recommend the Bose IE2. I actually preferred them to the S4's, although be aware they're open so they will provide 0 isolation (which is why they replaced my portapros for running).
If you're set on Best Buy, I think the next step up would be the Ety hf3 (although expect less than quantity), or if you get extremely lucky you might find a store that has the Monster Miles Davis in stock and on clearance for 50% off.
