I've recently decided to use some complys on my um1 for a long bus trip after a long spell with bi-flanges. The bi-flanges were a lot more convenient than the complys but I figured the complys will be more comfy on long trips where I do not have to take them on and off all the time. Plus I have a whole bag of them just sitting there neglected.
Anyway, I took out a couple (I use short ones), and saw that one was actually shorter than the other. Not by a lot, about 2mm or so. So I took another out and dang if it isn't longer than the shorter one and shorter than the longer one!
Now I have 3 tips, all different lengths. Long story short, I took a whole bunch of them out and lined them up to choose 2 of the same length.
A couple mm difference may not sound like much, but they look hella different when you have them in front of you and trying to get the IEM drivers the same distance from your eardrums.
Any of you guys notice the same thing? Is it a manufacturing defect or what?
