I was watching this auction with mild interest but I didn't expect the final price to be this high. Pretty cool I think.   It's no secret I am a HUGE fan of the 580.  I have two minty pairs myself.
 
I also noticed the buyer was a new eBayer.  Wonder if he/she is a Head-Fier..

That... is quite ridiculously high for a headphone that is essentially a HD600 with different grills and color scheme. It was fantastic value when you could grab one at 140$ or such when it was discontinued few years back.

Hmm.  That's kind of an odd thing to say. The HD600s going rate is over $300 ($400 from a couple of retailers).  So spending almost $250 for essentially the same thing, without the silly graphics, seems like a good deal.   At least one other person in the world thinks so too

Oh! I wasnt really sure what was the price of HD600 ATM in the USA. But its still bit high considering how low you could get one only a little while ago.
