i was wondering if anyone here has tried any mods to these headphones? especially to improve its sound isolation? exchanging for other pads that fit??

I'd say the first step would be replacing the cord with one with a mic, if this is to be an on-the-go pair of headphones.  Monster's should work nicely, however.
