Noob's 1st tube (Bender/Morgan Jones)

In between waiting for KGSS parts and trying to get a clue on Dr. Gilmore's design, I figured I'd give a shot at the Morgan Jones.

I followed Bruce Bender's article and parts list. The directions were wonderful and worked on the 1st try (except the parts list is two 220uF output caps short).

Point to point wiring was interesting.. it's a rat's nest in there. Pro tubers, is there a systematic way of doing p2p? I was also foolish enough to put a switch on the front with the hot wire. It introduced a hum at very high volumes (it's now directly connected w/o the switch). Is there a proper way to wire a front switch?

If any fellow noobs are thinking about a tube amp, give this one a try..

You should post the pics in the gallery thread above so it does not get lost when this thread slides down the page eventually.that way there will always be a record of it.
