hi I have a short question, my current setup

current setup:

Denon 1940i => (RAC) => LD MK1+ => AH-D5000

playing an SACD

now would it make sense to change it to:

Denon 1940i => (COAX) => DAC_I => LD MK1+ => AH-D5000

and still be able to play SACD's or is the SACD signal not forwarded and only the CD signal?

Sorry I'm quite new at this stuff, again. Forgot most of the stuff I knew in the 5 years without a stereo system...

The final plan is to go balanced in about 6 month time.

thanks

The SACD signal will not travel through the coaxial connection, only the analog outputs.

The only way I know to get DSD over a digital connection would be with HDMI 1.2 or higher, but both the player and receiver have to support this (HDMI versions don't guarantee certain features, they just allow them).

But, that Denon is HDMI 1.1, so it definitely can't do it. Sorry.
