Hi I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions regarding an amp for my desktop. I'm currently using a fiio e11 and sound magic hp100 but I do plan on upgrading/trying out a higher end headphone down the line but as far as amps go what's the difference between a tube amp and a regular one as far as sound goes. I'm not really sure what to look for with an amp like this because I'm still learning. I'm not lookin for anything loaded with features but I guess more hang for my buck. Do some amps sound different than others??? I listen mostly to metal all genres. And how long can I expect an amp to last me?
