Wondering about this. Some cans that have bass head quality bass (though not overpowering) yet still have good highs and mids with a good amount of detail. I have aiaiai's but the highs and mids are just not there enough and there's not much detail. Price range 150-350. Thanks!

250 olms? I don't think I can amp that...I have a pretty good portable amp but 250 olms is alot and I like listening loud...

Edit: Mfw this list:

  1. DT 770 Pro 80 - Straight cord 80 ohm
  2. DT 770 Pro 250 - Coiled cord 250 ohm
  3. DT 770 M - High Isolation 80 ohm
  4. DT 770 Edition 32 - Premium home version 32 ohm (portable use)
  5. DT 770 Edition 250 - Premium home version 250 ohm
  6. DT 770 Edition 600 - Premium home version 600 ohm
  7. DT 770 Manufaktur 32, 250, 600 - Custom ordered from factory ($300)

What the heck? So confusing.

HFI-580, they deliver good bass without affecting other sound qualities.

Very best,

D2000 leaks a decent amount and has poor noise isolation. Almost all the headphones you listed suffer from recessed mids but I suppose this is all relative to the current headphone TC is using. In terms of bass performance, I'd pick the D2000 or the Ultrason Pro 750 but aren't they both pretty above the TC's price point?  I've never heard the A900x but it should probably have more mids than the others.

Rarely do headphones have great bass, mids, and highs all in one... unless you invest in planar magnetic/ electrostatic headphones. And in that price range, that's quite difficult.  You're better off looking into headphones that can do a certain range of frequency well.
