Yeah, the Etymotic ER-4P are pretty hard to top and portable headphones are unlikely to match the isolation that they provide. I know this, and that's okay. But I'd love to get some portable headphones that somewhat match the signature sound of the ER-4P. They have that magical quality of being simultaneously warm, with spacious bass and clear midrange, and neutral, so I don't feel the music I'm listening to is being somehow re-equalized.

And money is an object to the extent that I'd like to pay as little as possible.
