A couple of simple questions maybe someone can help with? I can't really find info about elsewhere.
I own a Xonar HDAV, unlike some models it doesn't have a headphone amp built in.
When I connect my headphones to the front audio left/right outs with an RCA>3.5mm audio adaptor what power/impendance will be delivered to my headphones?
Will this be the same if I connect them to my PC case's headphone out socket or select headphones in the driver instead of speakers for the front left/right channels?
So far it is my understanding that it's not a good idea to connect headphones directly to a sound card without an amp even when it states you can? Will they feed the phones too much power?
My headphones are AKG K550s mk2 so easy to drive.
