I'm looking for an over the ear headphone to pair up with the FIIO X5.  I used HD558's for about a week and found them very fatiguing--to the point where I couldn't stand listening to the X5 anymore.  I've been using my Etymotics for a few days without any issues (probably due to a lot less mid-base/base), but would prefer an over the ear headphone.  I didn't have the fatigue issue when running the FIIO line out to a headphone amp when listening through HD650's, so I may build an amb alpha20 to use in the office.  My target range is 300-600, but have been considering stretching to get the he-560's.  Was wondering if a planar magnetic headphone would soften the mid-base?
