Will the Zen NX's output power be limited by the EU laws or will it be 60mW like it says HERE on the european creative sites?

Anyone have any ideas? I'm surely not gonna buy it if it comes with a 0.5mW output

If it's like the Nomad Zen 2.0, then no, it should not have the limitation when you buy it. Unlike Apple, Creative Lab's gave people a choice to install the volume limited firmware themselves.

However, to be safe, I would call Creative Lab's just to make sure. Their number is listed on their European website.

FWIW, this is the answer from Creative, though I'm not sure he knows what he's talking about:

We have been told this zen will be compliant to the french regulation
and other european regulation.
