Guys, I need help! I hooked up my SR-71 to my iPad and to my disappointment it hasn't been a good experience. I receive a lot of background noise at high volumes. My headphones are Edition 8's and 990t. The 990t sounded the worst out of the two. By the way this only happens when watching iTune purchased movies. I have tried all impedance settings on amp. Please help.

I tried all three settings.  Low helped the most.

check eq setting on ipad if available. Too long cable on ipad-to-amp (optimum is as short as possible).

That really wouldn't make a difference until the OP starts using a few meters of cable.

LOD is short.  I don't think thats an issue.

Wait, the iPad works with an LOD already? I thought it had a different pin laylout/length compared to the iPods/iPhones.

Am i the only one having this issue?  I am sure someone has tried hooking up a portable amp to an ipad.
