Noise Isolating IEM for use while riding motorcycle

Upping a really old thread: guys, any updates on this after 3 years?
I'm currently trying out my options and my Sony NW-A27 with supplied NC headphones does sound better than simple (good) in-ear such as HifiMan R400.
So far my findings: (modular helmet, not the quietest one (HJC IS-Max ii)), Sony do filter out a big chunk of noise, but I have to set the volume almost to the max in order to hear the music and not the remaining noise. And at higher speeds (above 100km/h) there's a small irregular digital click, which is something of a reaction to excessive wind noise in the helmet.

But that's not good enough: iems are not the most comfortable ones and I need to get rid of the wires (switch to bluetooth), so I can place the media player in front of me (track choice etc).
Anybody compare Bose QC20 to anything else?
Or how is the noise cancellation of Phiaton BT 220 NC? How good does it cancel out the wind?

Any experience goes.
