My tube right now are TJ full music 12ax7 and KenRad VT-231 blackglass. The sound is better than the stock tungsol 6sn7gtb (Reissued). Still I think the Tungsol is great for its price, it has great extension on both ends. The drawback is that the Tungsol doesnt sound as smooth as the Kenrad though. Tried the Phillips( Mullard blackburn) 12ax7 and didnt like it too tame high and not so tight bass. In the near future I am going to try those Shuguang CV-181z, only just to prove if the they are as good as (or better) than the highly regarded nos tubes like the Kenrad https://www.tnt-audio.com/accessories/shuguang_treasures_cv181_e.html
