Can anyone help me with this? What's the likely explanation? I can't even think back and think of anything specifically that would've caused this. I wasn't under the impression that these things were super delicate. I guess there's a good chance that I'll be testing out that Shure warranty. I bought these off a fellow forum member, who included all paperwork...will I have a problem dealing with Shure on this matter?

Yeah I had two pairs of E2c's and both have broke on me in the same way. Apparently if they're under 2 years old, and you have the proof of purchase, you can mail them into Shure and they will fix them, but since it's the weekend I haven't been able to get through to them.
