Hey guys,
 
I have the iFi Micro iCAN SE and love it. Now I'm looking for a USB [laptop, but stationary laptop, it never moves] connected DAC that I can connect that amp and HiFiMan HE-400S's to. Replacing a Dragonfly Black. It'snice but...I feel like I can get a better sound out of the DAC going into the iCAN.
 
I do a lot of movies, gaming, etc, and absolutely love the amp from iFi. Right now I'm thinking:

But I'm open to suggestions that are under 500USD.

Personally some of the differences could come down to placebo. However if you can easily spend $500 anyway might as well get one worth $250, which is still just half you budget, that doesn't have some of the issues of the ODAC with regards to noise. On the downside though note that Schiit's USB drivers have had issues with Win10, but they could be fixed by now.
