NITSCH x Schiit Magni Piety - Impressions Thread

This is supposed to be the Nitsch Piety thread, not the Modi Multibit 2 thread. There is a dedicated Modi Multibit 2 thread. Please post in the correct thread.
completely my bad

You were discussing how the two multibit DACs pair with the Piety, that seems more appropriate here.

Have at it so far as I am concerned, I don't think this is a case for the forum police !
Yeah was gonna say, I can see why people want to focus on Piety in this thread. But at the same time it seems like MM1 and MM2 are the 2 most popular dac people pair with Piety at the moment.

So it's only natural people ask about it here. But yes granted we might have gotten too excited discussing MM2 LOL.

One time I asked a question about a DAC on Super Best Audio Friends and I got jumped on by a number of members for not going to the manufacturers website and looking up the specs. Holy schmoly! Super Best Audio Friends, talk about a misnomer.
Before I bought Lyr 3 and Project Solstice. And I was trying to read up on comparison reviews.

So I stumbled upon an old Lyr 3 thread on Super Best Audio Friends. One guy asked "how's Lyr 3 vs Project Ember II" in a Lyr 3 thread and got absolutely mocked on by everyone. Things like "who's gonna tell him?" and got called "rando" by the other members. The guy was confused it's like I'm asking Lyr 3 question in Lyr 3 thread and it's wrong?????

I have since bought Lyr 3 and Project Solstice and likes both for different reasons LOL.
Life is too short for me to put up with A-holes who hide behind a keyboard.
Yeah different forums have different demographic.

Super Best Audio Friends seems very elitist to me.
Reddit mostly is ok but occasionally you'll get overrun by people who only care about measurements and never listen to anything.
Head-Fi so far I find has been most forgiving and also most willing to accept different opinions.

Lots of keyboard warriors and wanna be mods on every forum. Knowing that I utilize the forums for what they are and the information they provide.

A few weeks ago I did impulse purchase a brand new sealed Piety on eBay, it’s a shame what I had to pay for it. I haven’t decided if I want to keep it, however would have no idea how to sell it. It’s not like I would want to list it here for what I paid for it, that would certainly cause a storm.

Has anyone used the Piety with the HE6SE V2? I know it doesn’t have enough power for them but am curious still the same.

How does it pair with IEM’s?

The Piety works well with IEM.

With moderately sensitive IEM there is only a little noise floor hiss at maximum volume on high gain, no music playing obviously ! On low gain there is no noise.

You will need to be very careful with the volume pot as you are unlikely to need to go over about 9 o’clock unless the IEM are very insensitive.

You will probably hear some volume pot scratching noise through the IEM when adjusting the volume but that will of course stop as soon as you stop moving the pot.

I had been waiting for these 3 to meet and I’m so far a happy listener.:smile_phones:

Huge thanks to the ever-so-kind, honest, and more than fair @gc355 for giving me the opportunity to own the MP after I had missed the boat on the initial launch.

Congrats!!!

Now you're either end game reached, or flood gate has opened and time to start saving money LOL.

Here onward the price jump is pretty high to push the last 15% lol.
